The Nuance: Music
Sweet Summer Rain
Hopefully the movie reference won't get us sued. But you would have to really, really be on your A-game to pick out the homage, or blatent rip off of the title, depending on what side of the fence you're on out there. But it's not all that obscure, hope those two guys are cool about that. Sticks and I wrote this one together, our second or third (and to date, last) attempt to write a song together. We've also got this great tune we just refer to as 'untitled2' that we play at rehearsal every once in a while that hasn't seen the light of day in a long time. We might release it, with or without the lyrics/vocals on the BlueMoonShine album.
"day has gone given away to night don't know whats wrong never know what's right, I've only fallen down trying to reach new heights if I knew then...all that I know now
this pick me up has brought me down, like a secret that you share all over town, and when i get so high I never want to come down
it is what is, nothing more and nothing less. we see only what we will, not so much what you think but how you feel. the window is open you see, what's true for you is alright with me. and winter brings new life that falls into spring like a sweet summer rain do you think that this war will bring us peace, standing so tall you bring me to my knees. could a sentence for life ever set you free?
you're my only weakness my thoughts still dreaming my nights left sleepless"
